{"id":49,"date":"2020-04-15T23:47:19","date_gmt":"2020-04-15T23:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lifeintheup.com\/?p=49"},"modified":"2020-04-15T23:47:44","modified_gmt":"2020-04-15T23:47:44","slug":"the-loss-of-a-dog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeintheup.com\/?p=49","title":{"rendered":"The Loss of a Dog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday we lost my dog Samson.<\/p>\n<p>We all had a chance to say goodbye to him Saturday morning.\u00a0 I sat next to him, and pet him and told him that he was a good dog.\u00a0 I told him that he didn&#8217;t need to hold on any longer.\u00a0 He was a good dog. \u00a0If you have been watching my channel for some time, you know what a big part he was in my family.<\/p>\n<p>I know that my grief does not compare to so many who are grieving the loss of loved ones at this time of the pandemic, yet I still grieve.\u00a0 It is a different kind of grief, yet it is a real feeling.\u00a0 Samson was a big part of my life for the past 8 years.\u00a0 When we brought Samson home, we knew it would be for life.
